Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Ho‘Oponopono
Developed by Gary Craig, EFT works on the premise that the symptoms we experience, be they physical or emotional, are as a result of an imbalance or blockage in the body’s energy system. If you correct the imbalance or remove the blockage, the symptoms disappear, re-establishing a natural flow of energy around the meridians. This is done by lightly tapping on the meridian points which are close to the surface and easily accessible, sending a mini shock wave down the meridian and breaking up the stagnant energy - essentially acupuncture, only without the needles!
For the purposes of combining EFT with Ho’Oponopono you need only follow the instructions given, but if you are interested in learning more about EFT and its applications, please contact me at tina@edensfields.co.uk. Alternatively go to Gary’s website www.emofree.com where you can download an instruction manual free of charge.
The points
This is where all the points can be found:
Eyebrow (EB) – located at the beginning of the eyebrow, where it meets the bridge of the nose
Corner of the eye (CE) – located at the outer corner of the eye, just on the bone of the eye socket
Under the eye (UE) – again on the eye socket but under the eye, roughly in the middle
Under the nose (UN) – directly under the nose, in the middle of the top lip
On the chin (Ch) – right in the middle where there’s a natural crease
Collar bone (CB) – located where the collar bone ends at the base of the throat and forms a bony lump
Under the arm (UA) – on the side of the body, about a hand’s width below the armpit
At the base of each nail (except the ring finger) on the outside edge:
Thumb (Th)
First finger (FF) Middle finger (MF) Little finger (LF)
Karate Chop (KC) – the side of the hand, in the middle
Gamut (Ga) – when you make a fist it creates a channel down the back of the hand between the bones. The Gamut is found in the channel between the ring finger and the little finger, about half way down
Tapping
Just lightly tap the point as if you were patting someone on the head - hard enough to feel it but not so hard it hurts. For the facial and finger points a single fingertip is sufficient, but for larger areas such as the collarbone, under the arm, karate chop and gamut point, using three fingertips means you cover a larger area and don’t need to be so precise about the exact location of the point.
Continue tapping on each point for the time it takes to say the statement.
EFT each point with the mantra
Simply tap each point in turn saying the “I love you, I’m sorry, please forgive, thank you” mantra, preferably out loud but to yourself if you prefer.
